(Hidden hoard, Wisdom, Circle) Unearthing a treasure in a dream signifies gaining wisdom. For a merchant, it means commercial profit or spending generously in divine service. For a ruler, it denotes an expansion of authority and just governance. A treasure in a vision is interpreted according to one’s vocation. It also symbolizes a trade or enterprise. Discovering a concealed coffer with little money inside signifies a brief trial; if it overflows with coin, it foretells anguish, grief, and sorrow. In many interpretations, discovering a treasure may portend death, sudden wealth, or compliance with a judicial decree. Uncovering a great treasure can signify martyrdom. Finding a treasure and rejoicing over it may paradoxically indicate loss of wealth or business. Discovering a treasure can also imply ease in life, receiving an inheritance, distress, wearing new attire, taking a wife, evading taxes, neglecting the alms tax, or obstructing charitable distributions. A treasure further represents a lucrative trade, a money changer, a jeweler, or recalling a memory. Uncovering a hard-to-reach treasure denotes a miser who withholds charity; if a scholar, he hoards knowledge; if a judge, he rules unjustly. If a woman discovers a treasure, it shows her prudence in expenditure and household management. If the chest lacks a lid, the meaning is inverted.
