A deer in a dream symbolizes women and children. Catching a deer or being given one as a present means prosperity, an inheritance, marriage, bearing offspring, or triumphing over an opponent. Slaughtering a deer means taking the virginity of a young maiden. Bringing a deer into one's home means securing a bride for one's son. Killing and skinning a deer signifies violating a woman of noble standing. A deer leaping at someone represents a wife who is rebellious.
