Seeing a window in a dream carries symbolic meanings related to relationships, disclosure, and relief. A large or wide window represents a woman of good character, sound conduct, and openness, while a narrow or tight window signifies the opposite, indicating constraint, poor disposition, or difficulty in companionship. If a man sees himself sitting inside a window in a dream, it means that he will divorce his wife openly and publicly. If he sees himself sitting at a distance from the window, it signifies a secret or concealed divorce. In this sense, the window reflects the manner in which private matters are revealed or hidden. The windows of a house in a dream may also represent an outsider or stranger who has access to, or awareness of, the private affairs and secrets of that household. Thus, a window can symbolize exposure, observation, or vulnerability. At the same time, a window in a dream often carries positive meanings. It may signify relief from hardship, the easing of distress, renewal of joy, revival of celebrations, or commemorating important occasions and anniversaries. According to the direction they face, windows may also symbolize the arrival of news, or represent women or children associated with the household. Seeing the glass of one’s window stained, tinted, or colored in a dream signifies growth and continuity. It may represent planting seedlings, blossoming and inflorescence, conceiving children, pursuing education, acquiring new garments, or placing a crown upon someone, indicating honor or achievement. Sitting bound or tied within a window frame or window box in a dream signifies marriage, symbolizing commitment, attachment, and entry into a new domestic bond. (Also see Attic window)
