Islamic Interpretation
In a vision, each kind of urn carries a distinct meaning. A large urn symbolizes a woman of ill repute. A cistern or any sizable porous clay jar for holding water represents a guardian, steward, or keeper, the master of a house, his strongbox, or his place of business. If seen within a dwelling, it denotes a wealthy woman perpetually in sorrow. If connected to a waterwheel, it signifies a wealthy man bearing heavy duties who spends his fortune in divine service. A waterskin represents a virtuous woman. Drinking from one means receiving money or favor from such a person. Drawing water from a reservoir to fill an urn indicates he will derive benefit from that woman. A wine pitcher signifies uncovering hidden wealth. An urn containing vinegar denotes a devout and righteous individual. If it holds butter or ghee for cooking, it represents a rich man who conceals his assets.
