(Winding sheet) A shroud in a vision signifies the concealment of one's intimate areas, or it may point to a clandestine relationship, hiding one's deeds while presenting a false front, or it could mean entering a marriage with an unsuitable partner. Donning a shroud may also signify acquiring wealth through improper relations. If one sees a shroud but does not wear it, it suggests he will be tempted toward illicit acts but will resist. Being enveloped in a shroud like the deceased signifies one's passing. If the head and feet remain exposed in the dream, it denotes religious shortcomings and moral decay. The less cloth covering the departed, the nearer he is to seeking forgiveness, whereas a larger, more complete burial preparation indicates a greater distance from repentance.
