(Lash) In a dream, a scourge signifies meeting one's needs, achieving one's aim, or forcing an enemy to submit to one's terms. If the scourge breaks during a struggle or while striking someone, it denotes loss of power. If its cord frays, it signifies weakening authority. Using a whip to drive an animal means supplicating to God to lighten burdens and ease provision. Riding a horse and striking it harshly with a scourge indicates desperate need and prayer for deliverance from hardship. Lashing a seated person signifies reprimanding him; if he shows fear or shields his face, it portends repentance from sin. If he is unharmed, he is obstinate and rejects sound counsel. If he bleeds, he is wrongfully beaten. Blood splattering on the dreamer's clothes means receiving dubious or unlawful money from the victim. A bent scourge indicates mental disturbance, or an aide who is rash or impatient.
