In a dream, a rope signifies a pact, promise, or binding agreement. A rope descending from the sky represents the Book of God. A rope may also denote rank, honor, and prosperity, or it can symbolize deception, leading others astray, or sorcery. Holding firmly to a rope represents strict adherence to God’s path. A rope made of fibers indicates a harsh nature, one made of leather points to bloodshed, and one made of wool signifies religiosity. Twisting a rope indicates travel, while wrapping it around the neck signifies marriage. Throwing it over one’s shoulders denotes an important appointment resulting from a journey. Twisting one’s beard into a rope signifies perjury, bribery, and false testimony. Making, twisting, or measuring a rope all point to traveling.
