Islamic Interpretation
Papers appearing in a vision symbolize witnesses, direction, spiritual guides, understanding, admonitions, or joyful announcements. Grasping papers foretells happy news and festivities. Should a woman present a paper to someone, expect favorable tidings to arrive shortly. If that woman is veiled, it signals a need for caution. Carrying a folded piece of paper may indicate an incident that could prove fatal. Seeing oneself with a paper in the left hand suggests remorse for a past deed. Writing with the left hand denotes composing poetry, performing reprehensible acts, or fathering a child out of wedlock. For a pious person to gaze upon an illegible script means facing disgrace or hardship. Receiving wrapping paper containing a newborn signifies hiring a servant with restrictive conditions. Being given a newspaper or document without reading it suggests an impending inheritance. Reading only the headline also hints at inheritance, while skimming the contents implies incurring debts. Witnessing one's own Judgement Day records laid open reflects strong faith, conviction, absence of doubt, and sincere belief in the message brought by God's Prophet.
