In dreams, paper, notebooks, records, or parchment symbolize commitments, covenants, oaths, and responsibilities that bind a person to his word and actions. Writing on a sheet of paper may indicate ingratitude, betrayal, or failure to uphold trust toward others, reflecting moral weakness or misuse of one’s intellect. A writer in a dream represents someone weighed down by worries, pressure, doubts, and inner confusion, using writing as a means of escape, relief, or a path out of sadness and depression. When a superior or employer hands a paper to the dreamer to write on, it signifies requesting something from that authority and eventually obtaining it. Holding a pen and paper during a time of suspicion or uncertainty means that confusion will give way to clarity, truth will become apparent, and matters will be understood correctly. Simply holding a piece of paper also signifies achieving one’s objectives, completing a task, concluding a project, or finalizing an important plan.
