A pulpit seen in a dream represents the Imam, the spiritual leader and commander of the Muslims, who stands as the representative of God’s Messenger on earth. A minbar also symbolizes a blessed dwelling in the hereafter and a lofty rank through which God’s Name is exalted. Standing on a pulpit and delivering a composed sermon in a dream signifies attaining honor and high status, and if one is unfit for such a role, it indicates gaining good reputation. If a ruler or governor is compelled to descend from the pulpit in a dream, it signifies loss of authority or possibly death. Seeing oneself on a pulpit without speaking, or uttering words of evil, means unjust execution, or alternatively, divine protection from such injustice. A pulpit also signifies rulership and overcoming one’s enemies. Ascending a pulpit may indicate engagement or proposing marriage, or it could point to a scandal. If a ruler stands upon a pulpit, it denotes the continuation of his rule. Standing on a pulpit with bound hands signifies carrying out an execution resulting from one’s own wrongdoing.
