Islamic Interpretation
In a vision, a mental hospital or insane asylum represents a bathhouse or sauna — a dwelling of malevolent spirits, a place of exposing private parts, or displaying improper conduct publicly. It also symbolizes a training institution for child-rearing, a school, a playground, a site of uproar and noise, employing foul language, stealing money, or separation from family and children. Seeing a deceased person in such a place indicates he resides in hell-fire, as mental hospitals may use restraint and confinement. Finding oneself in a mental hospital suggests possible imprisonment for a committed crime. Associating with the insane denotes incarceration, mingling with criminals, falling ill, or succumbing to a terminal disease. For a poor person, being inside a mental hospital foretells financial prosperity, receiving aid, comfort, and happiness in life. (Also see Insanity)
