All such meanings are influenced by the necklace's worth, elegance, clarity, and the quantity of gems it contains. For a woman, a pearl necklace symbolizes her spouse or her young son. If a man sees himself wearing one, it indicates he is a pursuer of knowledge, spiritual insight, and wisdom. It may also denote fulfilling a pledge, making a vow, or entering into marriage. If his wife is expecting, it foretells the birth of a son who will mature into a sage, a man of learning, or a judge. This holds true unless the necklace breaks within the dream. Should it break, it signifies breaking one's promise, forgetting acquired knowledge, falling into negligence, or suffering expulsion, removal, or exile from home or homeland. Wearing one or two pearl necklaces suggests adherence to divine revelations, memorization of God's Words, recitation of the Holy Quran, speaking wisely, and being among those entrusted with a divine responsibility who exhibit reliability, piety, faithfulness, religious dedication, and noble character. These interpretations depend on the necklace's beauty, brilliance, and purity. If one dreams of bearing many necklaces and ornaments that feel heavy and burdensome, it reflects his inadequacy or incapacity to finish a task. (Also see Necklace)

For a woman, pregnancy reflects diligence, perseverance, and success in striving toward her goals, as well as receiving recognition, honor, and abundance, though it may also signify hardships, trials, anxiety, or burdensome secrets she conceals. For a man, seeing himself pregnant represents heaviness in life, inner distress, sorrow, or fear of having his private troubles exposed publicly. In its broad meaning, pregnancy denotes wealth and gain, with the degree of prosperity measured by the months of pregnancy and the size of growth seen in the dream, whether the dreamer is male or female. For a learned person, pregnancy indicates an increase in knowledge and wisdom, while for a craftsman it signifies reaching unmatched mastery and excellence in his profession. Pregnancy may also symbolize intense love, overwhelming passion, misplaced efforts, deviation, physical illness, or moral confusion, and it can point to theft, concealment of stolen goods, hiding beliefs behind a respectable appearance, illness from spoiled food, burial of a loved one, falsehood, deception, accidents, or fire. For a woman, pregnancy can mean loss of virginity before marriage or marrying an unsuitable partner, while for a barren woman it signifies misfortune such as a poor harvest or theft in the neighborhood. If an unmarried woman or virgin sees herself pregnant, it indicates that she will find a suitable husband. A woman’s pregnancy in a dream signifies wealth, whereas a man’s pregnancy represents grief and worry, though both may still indicate eventual prosperity. If a young boy below puberty sees himself pregnant, it refers to his father, and if a young girl below menstruation sees herself pregnant, it refers to her mother. Seeing one’s wife pregnant reflects desire for material success. If a pregnant wife gives birth to a boy in a dream, she will give birth to a girl in waking life, and vice versa, unless the dreamer is accustomed to seeing his dreams manifest exactly. Delivering a child from one’s mouth signifies death or, alternatively, speaking refined and careful words. A man giving birth to a boy means bearing a heavy burden then finding relief, overcoming an enemy, or escaping a deceitful woman. Should one also honor that promise within the dream, it demonstrates his sincerity, faithfulness, and conviction. Extending a favorable promise denotes blessings, gain, and a long life. Receiving a positive pledge from an adversary or opponent portends harm. Conversely, receiving a negative or threatening promise from an enemy foretells good. In such a vision, the one who appears victorious in the argument during the dream is in fact at fault in reality, indicating blame, error, or wrongdoing despite seeming triumph.

Prophet

Category: Prophets

In the language of the soul a prophet is the perfect mirror of mercy, every gesture a silent covenant that the universe is still watched by an attentive Creator; to meet him is to be folded into the original tenderness that existed before the word “I” was ever spoken, so that grief itself becomes a cradle and every wound is turned toward the light like a sunflower. He is the living syllabus of heaven, each breath a lesson in how to let the ego fall like a brittle husk and discover the sweet kernel of servanthood; whoever walks beside him walks inside the pulse of revelation, tasting the nectar that once dripped from the lips of Gabriel, and the heart learns the rhythm of certainty until doubt dissolves like salt in the ocean of la ilaha illa Allah. To wear his cloak is to inherit the weather of prophethood—its winter of exile, its spring of triumph—so that the body becomes a tent of resilience and the voice carries the echo of mountains that once knelt before David. If he offers you bread you are eating the same sustenance that once nourished Job in the ash of his patience; if he offers you water you are drinking the same stream that once gushed for Moses from a dry rock, and every drop writes on the tablet of your cells: trust, trust, trust. To see him impoverished is to witness the secret that treasure is not gold but nearness, and the bowl he extends is the sky itself upside-down, catching the coins of your tears to purchase for you a kingdom that never perishes. Whoever claims his station in sleep is claiming the wound of love that never closes, the thorn in the breast of the nightingale that keeps the song alive; if he speaks to you he is dictating the final exam of your life, and every syllable is a seed that will break open in the grave and blossom into a garden where your name is written on every leaf. To kill him in dream is to assassinate your own capacity for wonder, to tear the last page out of the book of guidance and scatter its letters like frightened birds; yet even then the blood that soaks the earth is ink, and from it will rise a single red rose whose fragrance is forgiveness. Living in his era of vision is to step out of chronological time and into the fresh clay of the first dawn, where Adam still rubs the dust from his eyes and sees every soul as his own rib; there, trade is conducted in luminous deeds, and the currency is tears of recognition. If he strikes you he is only beating the drum that announces your soul has been discharged from the army of forgetfulness; the bruise is a passport stamp that grants entry to the country of the living. Thus the prophet is not a figure but a frequency, a tuning fork struck by the divine hand; whoever hears it in dream wakes up inside the echo, and the echo keeps repeating: you were never abandoned, you were merely asleep, and the morning you asked for has already arrived. (Also see Muhammad, upon whom be peace.)

Prostrating during wartime indicates humiliation before an enemy, conflict, financial loss, or standing powerless before closed opportunities. Prostrating to God on the summit of a mountain means overcoming a formidable foe, while prostrating on a hill signifies submission to a powerful person. Should the individual granting that authority be ill, then signing such a document indicates recovery from sickness. However, if he is in good health, it suggests he may succumb to illness, for a proxy implies the transfer of one's agency. If one is pursuing a governmental position and signs a proxy in a dream, it foretells that he will attain it.

Psalms of David

Category: Other

The Psalms of David that appear in the chamber of sleep are the original breath that still circles the earth like an invisible belt, each syllable a drop of resin bleeding from the wounded heart of the cedar of Lebanon, so that whoever hears them is coated with the fragrant sorrow of every prophet who ever wept over a city that would not answer; they are the sound of the soul remembering it was once a single flute before it was broken into two reed pipes, and the lament is only the longing for that lost wholeness. To recite them is to become the echo-location of divine mercy, sending grief outward and letting it return as guidance, the way a bat navigates darkness by the shape of its own cry; every verse is a tear that refused to fall to the ground and instead rose, crystallized, and became a lens through which the face of the Friend can be glimpsed in the midst of any calamity. The Psalms are the ledger in which the universe records every sigh pressed out by oppression, every gasp of wonder at dawn, every moan of the lover separated from the Beloved, and whoever utters them in dream is auditing the account of human pain so that no sorrow is ever lost or declared bankrupt. They are the hidden music behind the apparent world, the percussion of hearts knocking against the door of mercy, the flute of breath slipping through the cracks of the ribs; to hear them is to discover that all worldly sound is merely a poor translation of this original score written on the membrane between the seen and the unseen. When they surface in sleep they carry the scent of the shepherd’s field where David once stood, a smell of wet wool and struck earth that convinces the dreamer he is still a keeper of some small flock of hopes that must be guarded from the wolf of despair. The Psalms are the rope let down from the sky of nearness, woven of repentance and praise in equal strands, and whoever climbs it finds that every rung is a name he once mispronounced and now learns to say correctly through the mouth of tears. They are the reunion of opposites: fear folded into serenity like two wings of the same bird, unity emerging from the clash of discordant selves the way a single drumhead is tightened by the pulling of opposite ropes. To earn one’s bread by their recitation is to be fed by the original baker who first mixed the dough of language with the yeast of longing, so that every word rises and becomes a loaf that can be broken and shared among the hungry caravan of the living and the dead. Thus the Psalms in dream are not poems but pulses, not verses but vessels; whoever carries them wakes carrying a wineskin filled with the same liquid lament that once intoxicated the king-prophet on the roof of his palace, and from that day forward every step he takes leaves a faint print of music that the wind repeats to anyone still listening for the sound of the first yes spoken between the soul and its Maker.
