(Referring to any wide-necked clay vessel.) Within a dream, a clay jar symbolizes an untrustworthy worker placed in charge of financial records. To drink pure water from such a jar signifies acquiring permissible wealth and a life of ease. Consuming water stored within one suggests having lived through half of one's appointed time. Drinking from a narrow-necked vessel may indicate testing a female servant. For a pregnant wife, if the dreamer carries a jar that drops and shatters, it portends that his wife might not survive childbirth or the period following it. A clay jar can also signify a diligent woman or a maid, while a jar made of copper denotes a woman of high standing. A jar containing wine represents a woman's monthly cycle. Drinking from it implies engaging in intimacy with one's wife during her period, an act prohibited in Islam. If the jar holds oil, honey, or milk, it points to concealed wealth.
