Islamic Interpretation
(Tiara, Turban) Seeing headgear in a dream signifies authority, travel, or marriage. Receiving a head covering or tiara indicates the possibility of embarking on a far journey. Wearing headgear suggests attaining a governmental position or public office. For someone who habitually wears it, the headgear represents those who hold authority over him, such as a ruler, father, brother, uncle, teacher, or scholar, since they all share similar rights over him. A dirty or worn head covering points to grief, hardship, and distress. Losing one’s headgear or seeing it fall signifies the death of a superior or one of the mentioned figures. If a king presents a headgear or tiara, it means gaining authority to appoint others to offices. Any damage to the turban of an Imam reflects on his faith and the condition of his followers. Wearing a black turban denotes power or serving as a judge. A headgear adorned with a white feather signifies leadership, while one made of animal fur or hide indicates injustice, blindness to one’s wrongdoing, or the corrupt nature of one’s superior. Headgear, turbans, or tiaras may also symbolize an ascetic. (Also see Overseas cap, Turban)
