A flint stone in a dream signifies seeking profit or hoping for an outcome, both of which will be realized. Striking a flint stone with steel to create fire for cooking or light, and seeing sparks, means benefiting from association with a hard-hearted person in authority to overcome poverty and improve one’s condition. The flint represents the rigid-hearted man, while the steel reflects his power. If sparks appear from striking them, it may also indicate witnessing a fierce conflict between two cruel and hard-hearted individuals. Striking a flint stone likewise symbolizes marriage for an unmarried person. If a woman strikes a flint stone and produces sparks, it means she will give birth to a son. When sparks ignite a fire, it signifies pregnancy, or it may indicate a dispute between spouses or partners. If sparks burn one’s clothing, harm will afflict the household, leading to financial loss, damage to honor, or bodily injury. If sparks burn a notebook, it denotes straying from the path of God.
