Typically, banners in a dream signify rulers, officials, arbiters, and learned individuals. Bearing a flag denotes entering into matrimonial union. A flag also suggests evading conflict. Carrying both a flag and a spear foretells one's own demise or the unexpected passing of a son. A raised banner within one's home indicates funeral rites. Holding a flag can also symbolize a woman. A red flag may denote a wicked woman, while a white flag represents a devout and pure woman. A multicolored flag signifies a woman of corrupt character. Being handed a flag and leading a procession of colorful banners suggests elevation in rank and receiving distinction. Seizing a flag from someone implies his removal from position.
