Islamic Interpretation
The Sirat is the span that people must cross after the Resurrection to reach their Lord. In a dream, crossing it reflects the journey of life, and the ease of passage corresponds to the weight of one’s deeds—some moving swiftly like lightning, others slowed by what they carry. If the bridge collapses beneath someone, it signals ruin or death. Seeing this bridge also symbolizes knowledge, truth, belief in God’s oneness, and following the Prophet’s example. Slipping while crossing indicates straying from guidance, while walking steadily shows adherence to divine commands and avoidance of what is forbidden. It may also point to major changes, heavy responsibilities, and eventual safety. A misstep can further denote falling into sin or wandering from the righteous path.
