In a dream, a bowl may signify a man’s purse or the expectations his wife holds toward him. Receiving a bowl filled with sweets points to abundant affection from one’s beloved, while a bowl containing sour foods or raw greens suggests rising hostility that could spark quarrels between spouses. A bowl can also indicate increased income. It may represent a servant, child, daughter, nanny, or maid. Licking a bowl symbolizes one’s livelihood and may imply having consumed one’s allotted share in life or nearing its end. Crowds gathering around a bowl to eat imply the reunion of one’s kin or the place where one resides; if they are righteous people, it signals their friendliness. Urinating in a bowl or jar foretells immoral conduct within one’s own family. A bowl can also stand for one’s beloved, with its contents symbolizing one’s affection.
