Islamic Interpretation
Seeing oneself bowing before God in prayer reflects humility, obedience, and distancing oneself from pride. Such bowing also indicates the achievement of one’s hopes and swift victory over opponents. Standing in prayer without bowing until the time ends suggests neglecting obligatory charity. Bowing may further symbolize gaining employment when one most needs it, as well as long life.
