Seeing a prayer recited in a dream according to the ways of the Prophet to aid an ill person signifies relief from hardships, removal of worries, and alleviation of grief. However, if the talisman or charm bears a private incantation or desire, it represents only deception, untruth, pretense, and insincerity. If the one uttering the incantation in the dream is an artisan, it indicates he cheats others and falsifies his work. If he is a learned person, it means he conceals truth, withholds genuine knowledge, refrains from proper guidance, or perhaps performs inferior acts of devotion. If the reciter in the dream is a judge, it suggests he will issue an unjust ruling. If one is offered water in a dream over which particular prayers have been said, it denotes long life. If a person sees himself pronouncing an incantation or hears one said for him in a dream, it amounts to nothing truthful except a supplication that says: 'In the Name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful' or includes a verse from the Qur'an.
