A preacher delivering a sermon in a dream represents purity, submission, repentance, tears, elevation in rank, long life, association with the believers, enjoining good and forbidding evil, as well as celebrations, weddings, or commemorative gatherings. If an unmarried woman sees him, it means she will marry through an intermediary; the same applies to an unmarried man, or it may reflect his search for a wife. If a qualified person sees himself as a preacher, it means appointment to a sensitive position of authority. Delivering a sermon according to prescribed methods and prophetic tradition signifies divine assistance in one’s work. Wearing white instead of black while preaching indicates rising in status and increased earnings. Sitting while preaching means presiding over companions, while sitting on the pulpit instead of standing signifies trials and humiliation. If an unqualified person delivers a sermon during the pilgrimage season, it refers to someone among his company, or it may indicate illness or misfortune. If people listen attentively, it means becoming a respected and obeyed leader. Failing to complete the sermon means loss of authority, resignation, or dismissal. If a woman sees herself preaching and admonishing people, it signifies gaining power or marrying a strong and righteous man.
