Islamic Interpretation
An orthopaedist who straightens deformities and sets broken bones in a dream represents a righteous ruler who governs with justice, teaches virtue, balances matters, and acts with fairness. Seeing an orthopaedist also signifies presumption, strength, and boldness, as well as officiousness, skill, and determination, since he removes what is flawed and reunites what is broken. At times, he also represents distress and hardship. The orthopaedist may symbolize an architect, and likewise an architect represents an orthopaedist in a dream; thus, seeing him can signify construction. He may also represent a generous person who shelters and helps the needy, a wise individual who heals wounded hearts, a just judge, a great scholar, a cobbler, or a tailor. If one sees himself before an orthopaedist for a broken bone and then complains of an abscess in his neck, which the orthopaedist opens with pliers to drain it, this signifies a debt that must be repaid, a vow that must be fulfilled, giving testimony in court, or submitting to the judgment of a scholar. If an orthopaedist sets one’s broken right arm and binds it to his neck, it means being compelled to perform a personal favor that prevents him from fulfilling other duties or charitable acts. The same interpretation applies to a broken leg.
