Islamic Interpretation
In a vision, a muezzin symbolizes a summoner to goodness and blessings, a broker, a marriage officiant, a royal messenger, or a gatekeeper. If he recites the entire call to prayer, it may herald the pilgrimage season. The call itself may also signify an alarm warning of theft or fire. Should a woman issue the call from a minaret, it denotes religious innovation and a grave trial arising in that region. A child calling from a minaret outside prayer times indicates ignorant individuals ascending to leadership within the community. The call to prayer also represents an official proclamation.
