Islamic Interpretation
In a dream, a money exchanger symbolizes knowledge, poetry, correct speech, prosperity after poverty, a school, companionship of a wise man, or a balance. He may also represent someone who possesses knowledge from which little benefit is gained beyond worldly matters. His work relates to scholarly writings, intellectual debates, disputes of authority, and the exchange of questions and answers. His judgment may be his only standard, with his balance symbolizing his tongue and ears, and his weights representing his tools for justice and discernment. Measuring small coins reflects his arguments with people. A money exchanger can also signify a religious physician or a scholar who examines religious questions and clarifies their meanings, or a dream interpreter who weighs what he receives and responds appropriately. He may take a string of pearls for a price and give words in return, or accept scattered speech and offer a finely arranged necklace in exchange. If a person burdened by hardship exchanges money in a dream, it means his troubles will ease. Buying gold coins and paying with silver in a dream signifies compensation, debts, or liabilities. Seeing a money exchanger also represents wealth, swift enrichment from doubtful sources, or an accountant, bookkeeper, or record keeper.
