Islamic Interpretation
(Flour, Turning in circles) In a dream, a miller represents a self-centered person driven by worldly gain regardless of the cost. If an elderly man appears as a miller, he symbolizes one’s grandfather or a close companion, and the dreamer will prosper greatly and accumulate wealth through business. If the miller is young and strong, he represents a powerful helper. A baker’s miller signifies achieving one’s aims through hard effort. Grinding enough wheat for two, three, or four people means working mainly for personal needs and barely sustaining one’s family. A young miller with grey hair represents both strength and prosperity. Seeing a miller may also point to hardships, conflicts, extravagance, usury, or a diligent guardian. Grinding other grains signifies removing sorrow and bitterness from the heart. (Also see Saffron)
