Zachariah

Category: Prophets

Seeing God’s Prophet Zachariah (peace be upon him) in a dream signifies divine remembrance, mercy, and the fulfillment of long-awaited prayers. It indicates that God Almighty will restore fertility and blessing to the dreamer and his spouse, even after a prolonged period of barrenness or at an advanced age, demonstrating that divine power transcends natural limitations. Such a vision also foretells the birth of a righteous and virtuous son, one who will grow to become a leader, noble progenitor, or person of lasting influence. This offspring will be distinguished by upright character, wisdom, and devotion, and will carry forward a legacy of faith, honor, and remembrance of God. Seeing Prophet Zachariah (peace be upon him) in a dream is therefore a sign of hope, answered supplication, renewal of life, and enduring lineage, accompanied by divine favor and blessing. Zamzam

Category: Water

(The Well of Zamzam, Mecca, the Kaaba) Seeing the blessed well of Zamzam in a dream is a sign of divine mercy, sacred knowledge, healing, and spiritual nourishment. If one sees the water of Zamzam quenching the thirst of people, and the well appears in a neighborhood or town other than Mecca, it signifies that a gnostic, scholar, or person of deep spiritual insight will come to reside in that place. Through his presence, knowledge, wisdom, and guidance will spread, and the people of that area will greatly benefit from his teachings and character. Drinking from the water of Zamzam in a dream signifies healing and recovery from illness, as well as purification of the body and soul. It reflects divine care, relief from hardship, and the restoration of well-being. If the dreamer drinks Zamzam water with a clear intention—such as seeking knowledge and wisdom, lawful wealth, recovery from sickness, the blessing of a child, forgiveness of sins, or the fulfillment of any permissible and righteous desire—then, God willing, the dream indicates that the intention will be fulfilled. For Zamzam water in dreams, as in wakefulness, symbolizes answered supplications, sincerity of intention, and the granting of blessings according to one’s faith and trust in God. Zebra

Category: Animals

Seeing a zebra in a dream carries meanings related to ingratitude, moral deviation, and wrongdoing, as the zebra resembles a donkey yet remains untamed, symbolizing resistance to guidance or discipline. If one sees a domesticated or tamed zebra in a dream, it signifies benefits, lawful profits, and material gain. In this case, the zebra represents something naturally difficult or harmful that has been brought under control, resulting in advantage and usefulness. The transformation of a donkey into a zebra in a dream is an unfavorable sign. It indicates a change from goodness to evil, obedience to disobedience, or a shift toward sin, ingratitude, or moral corruption after stability or righteousness. If a zebra enters one’s house in a dream, it means that an evil or corrupt person will enter that household, or that the dreamer himself will bring such a person into his home or close circle. This vision serves as a warning against welcoming harmful influences, immoral companions, or people whose presence may bring discord, harm, or spiritual decline. (Also see Donkey)

Zikr

Category: Action

(Hymns, Remembrance of God, Supplications, Songs of Divine Love) Seeing oneself in a dream engaged in the remembrance of God Almighty (zikr)—such as participating in a circle of people invoking His Most Beautiful Names, praising His Divine Attributes, reciting the Qur’an, offering supplications, or chanting devotional hymns—signifies that the place where this remembrance occurs will become a site of blessing and sanctity, a location dedicated to the glorification and worship of God. The degree of goodness, purity, and blessing attached to that place corresponds to the quality of recitation, sincerity, humility, and devotion witnessed in the dream. If the zikr takes the form of ascetic or spiritually uplifting songs, it indicates that one’s religious authority, stewardship, or moral responsibility is rightly established and sound. However, if the dream involves sensual or worldly love songs, it points to temptations, distractions, and spiritual trials that may lead one away from sincerity and restraint. Seeing oneself repeatedly calling upon the Name of God in a dream signifies victory over enemies, whether they be external adversaries or inner struggles such as desires, fears, or doubts. Calling people to God, reminding them of His Attributes, and exhorting them to righteousness in a dream represents the role of a preacher or guide—one who warns, advises, and leads others toward safety, helping them distance themselves from sin and its harmful consequences. If a merchant sees himself invoking God’s Beautiful Names in a dream, it means that his business will be protected, and that he will be saved from loss, ruin, or bankruptcy through divine favor. If a disbeliever, irreligious, or secular person sees himself remembering God and invoking His sacred Attributes in a dream, it may indicate that he will face illness or severe trials. Yet inwardly, his heart will be turning to God in supplication, seeking mercy and relief. Although he may conceal his faith outwardly—out of fear of mockery or social pressure—his inner state will remain attached to divine hope. If, during such a dream, the person utters words of truth, wisdom, or sincere counsel, it means that he will recover from his affliction, overcome adversity, and be cured of illness. Moreover, he will move toward a more stable and compassionate life, marked by charity, good deeds, guidance, and illumination, and faith will gradually settle firmly in his heart. However, if one recites prayers with a mocking tone, affected twang, or insincerity, it indicates that he will remain trapped in hardship for a prolonged time, and that people may ridicule or belittle him, reflecting inner confusion and lack of humility. Zircon

Category: Objects

(Mineral, Gem, Stone, Ring) Seeing zircon in a dream symbolizes unity, harmony, and sincere affection, particularly between husband and wife, reflecting mutual love, loyalty, and emotional balance within marriage. It may also signify the formation or strengthening of a binding agreement, such as a contract or partnership between two individuals, built on trust, clarity, and shared responsibility. Zircon in a dream can further indicate reconciliation and peace, pointing to the resolution of conflict between enemies, the restoration of broken ties, and the return of goodwill after hostility. On a deeper spiritual level, zircon represents the soundness and correctness of one’s faith, purity of belief, and inner alignment with truth. As a clear and enduring stone, it symbolizes steadfast conviction, sincerity of intention, and firmness in religious commitment. (Also see Stone)

Zul-Qarnain

Category: Types of People

Seeing Zul-Qarnain (peace be upon him) in a dream signifies that the dreamer will be granted influence, authority, and wisdom that enable him to intercede on behalf of others. It indicates that he will stand before a powerful ruler, leader, or person of high rank to plead a case, convey a request, or defend someone in need. Such a vision foretells that the dreamer’s intercession will be accepted, and that, by God’s permission, he will successfully fulfill the needs and resolve the concerns of the person for whom he speaks. It also reflects qualities associated with Zul-Qarnain—justice, strength, foresight, and compassion—suggesting that the dreamer will act with fairness and integrity while using his position or influence to bring benefit and relief to others.
