If a prisoner of war, he will be freed. If a ruler, his dominion will expand. Slaughtering someone means committing an injustice against him. Slaughtering a dove means entering marriage. Cutting a piece of flesh from one's posterior means he engages in an unnatural act. Finding oneself slaughtered without knowing the killer signifies being an innovator in religion, or it could mean he will give false testimony. Murdering one's father or mother means defying them or assaulting them and becoming accursed. To slaughter a woman means unlawful intercourse with her, or enticing her to it. Solomon

(The prophet of God, Solomon, peace be upon him.) God Almighty made the wind subservient to the prophet Solomon. Seeing him in a vision denotes authority, a judicial position, gaining wisdom, or offering religious explications if the dreamer is qualified. This vision is strengthened if the Prophet Solomon crowns the person, places a ring upon his right hand, or seats him beside himself upon his throne. Seeing him also signifies surmounting trials and difficulties, and receiving a divine grant of an elevated rank in this world and greater rewards in the next. The vision may also denote tests involving women and their thanklessness. If the dreamer is a governor, it means he will be removed from office but later reinstated, or he might deceitfully wed a wealthy woman. If the seer practices sorcery, enchantment, dark arts, or conjuring spirits, it means he will benefit from his craft and become prosperous after despairing of such gains, or he will vanquish his foe. Whoever beholds the prophet Solomon will receive God's blessings, including lucid insights, clarity in religious interpretation, the capacity to learn many tongues, or become an interpreter, or perhaps master the Arabic language. Seeing Solomon also indicates recovery from illness. Obtaining Solomon's staff means engaging in defamation or false accusation, and if sick, his death. Seeing or discovering Solomon's ring means the renewal of one's leadership term, or the appearance of a great, perplexing marvel that will confound people. If a woman sees the prophet Solomon, she will mislead her husband. The vision also means acquiring knowledge of medicinal herbs. If one sees him lying deceased upon his bed, it means a caliph, military commander, leader, or scholar will die in that area, and his death may remain concealed or unrevealed for a time. If light-hearted love songs are heard there, it indicates that falsehood will dominate the place. Sitting at the center among scholars signifies attaining greater knowledge and honor. Sitting at the center also symbolizes one’s rank, or may represent one’s spouse, child, property, or secretary, and whatever occurs to the gathering reflects upon them. Descending a staircase signifies returning from travel, stepping down from a position, dismissal, or walking on foot. If the descent ends at one’s home, family, or farmland, it denotes wealth. Reaching an unknown end and encountering unfamiliar people or souls carries the same meaning mentioned earlier. If during ascent or descent one falls into a well, is carried off by a great bird, devoured by a beast, enters a boat that sails away, or suddenly finds himself riding an animal or vehicle, then the stairway represents the phases of one’s life, reviewed at the time of death or after it, like pages of a book. If one awakens healthy afterward, it points to becoming tyrannical, unjust, irreligious, or morally corrupt. Descending toward a mosque, greenery, fertile land, a spring breeze, or a pond for ablution signifies sincere faith, repentance, and abandonment of blameworthy behavior. Descending into snakes, lions, steep terrain, corpses, or scattered remains indicates severe trials and hardships. Steps made of clay are favorable signs, while baked bricks are unfavorable. Stone steps indicate business success combined with hardness of heart. Wooden steps signify attaining high rank mixed with hypocrisy. Golden steps mean success and authority, while silver steps represent followers and attendants. Ascending stairs also signifies sharpening one’s intellect and awareness, and the stairway may reflect an ascetic, devoted way of life. Approaching a staircase indicates success and increasing piety, with each step marking a distinct station. Climbing also points to dangers that must be crossed. A staircase of five steps represents the five daily prayers or the pulpit from which the Friday sermon is delivered. Hence, a stairway may symbolize glad tidings, good news, prayer, charity, almsgiving, fasting, or pilgrimage. God knows best.

Seeing a star fall from the sky signifies a calamity befalling the land, particularly affecting a great person, scholar, or ruler, and may also indicate the death of the governor of that place.
