Quail

(A stout, short-winged mountain bird, such as a mountain quail or partridge, also symbolizing a woman) In a dream, a mountain quail may signify a thief, a trusted intermediary, or a procurer who secretly manages the solicitation of clients for immoral purposes. At the same time, seeing a quail can point to wholesome sustenance, the fulfillment of supplications, protection from misfortune, or triumph over hardship. In the science of dream interpretation, a quail may also indicate a person with two faces. If someone devoted to leisure or pastime hears or seeks the call of a quail in a dream, it suggests gains from doubtful means, income from poetry, singing, or gambling, or the wasteful loss of wealth. In this context, the quail may further allude to a grave offense that carries the penalty of execution or lifelong imprisonment.

Pressing or extracting juice from a quince in a dream means setting out on a business journey and gaining favorable returns from it. A quince tree in a dream symbolizes a cautious, reserved, and resolute man from whom others derive no benefit, though it may also represent a despicable individual. A green quince is considered better than a yellow one. A quince may also symbolize a graceful and noble woman. Many interpreters disliked the quince because of its yellow hue and often associated it with sickness, as eating it raw can cause constipation. Nevertheless, its yellow color can also be viewed as resembling gold. Seeing or eating a quince likewise indicates traveling with agreeable companions, even if some of them bring little benefit. If a person is told a Qur’anic verse in a dream, he should comprehend it, memorize it, and act upon it. Hearing or reading a Qur’anic chapter that is customarily recited for the deceased in a dream signifies the death of a sick person within that household. Hearing a professional Qur’anic recitation in a dream means that people of authority will soon gather in the place shown in the dream. If one sees himself reading his record on the Day of Judgment in a dream, and he is illiterate in waking life, it means that he will become wealthy after poverty, that he will be able to answer all questions on the Day of Reckoning, or that God Almighty will protect him from his greatest fear, provided the record is favorable; but if it contains his sins and faults, then it denotes hardship, distress, and suffering.
