Islamic Interpretation
Gold in a dream is generally an unfavorable symbol, pointing to harm, worry, and losses. Wearing a bracelet made of gold signifies obtaining an inheritance, while wearing gold jewelry indicates marriage to an unsuitable partner, and any wedding gift received from such a person foretells difficulties and distress. Receiving a gold ingot symbolizes financial loss or damage to one’s business, and seeing oneself melting gold suggests persecution for an abhorrent deed and becoming the subject of public gossip. Seeing fragments of broken gold or a complete gold coin points to meeting the ruler of the land or a local governor. Minting gold represents evil outcomes, death, or destruction. If one’s house turns into gold, it means fire will consume it; if one’s hand becomes gold, it signals possible paralysis; and if one’s eyes turn gold, it warns of blindness. Wearing a necklace of gold, silver, or adorned with precious stones signifies leadership, authority, or being entrusted with responsibility. Gold may also symbolize celebration, happiness, profit, righteous deeds, relief from anxiety, marriage, children, knowledge, spiritual guidance, or the craft of goldsmithing. Seeing gold transform into silver indicates a decline in value or changing circumstances concerning women, children, or property, while seeing silver turn into gold reflects increased worth, prosperity, and the rising fortune of one’s spouse, children, business, or family. Gold-embroidered clothing or fabric represents religious offerings, while gold-plated ornaments signify imitation of worldly people or outwardly copying spiritual individuals in a showy manner. Pure gold or silver reflects sincerity, purity of intention, true agreements, or peace treaties, whereas gold-plated or silver-plated items and gold-leaf objects symbolize a short lifespan, unstable conditions, sleepless nights, or forgetfulness. Wearing any crafted or handmade jewelry in a dream denotes continuous income, and the same meaning applies to gold foils. (Also see Goldsmith)
