Islamic Interpretation
Meeting an enemy in a dream signals dignity, reconciliation, overcoming disputes, divine support, and eventual triumph. Confronting one’s enemy may even signify forming friendship with him. If the enemy issues threats, it means the dreamer will prevail. Should the foe promise kindness, it warns of falling into his scheme and losing the contest. If the enemy offers counsel, it foretells betrayal. Seeing an enemy invade a land points to a ruinous flood. If he confides in or pleases the dreamer, it means hardships will soon touch him. Being seized for ransom by an enemy indicates sinking into sin and becoming captive to one’s own wrongdoing. (Also see Blessings, Enmity, Introduction p. xxii)
