Should this aged figure appear robust, he reflects the dreamer's own strength; if frail, he mirrors a state of weakness. Whatever physical attributes or condition the elder exhibits will correspond to the dreamer's own situation. An elderly person approaching the dreamer indicates that aid will come to help him achieve an honorable position. Following such a figure means walking a righteous path. Displeasing an elder in the dream signifies offending a close companion or rejecting sound counsel. Pleasing him denotes agreement with a virtuous friend, leading to joint material and spiritual advancement. Seeing a gathering of amiable people of indeterminate age points to discovering new opportunities in life from which both worldly and spiritual benefits will flow. A gathering of unfamiliar young people suggests association with wealthy individuals, while a gathering of unfamiliar elders means keeping company with good friends. For a woman, an unrecognized elderly man represents the world. A young man seeing himself transformed into an elder signifies gaining knowledge and wisdom.
