Islamic Interpretation
In the landscape of a dream, an educator or teacher may stand for the dreamer himself, or for the head of a school, a paragon, a mainstay, a spiritual guide, a warden, one’s child, or one’s mother. Such a figure may also appear as a sports coach or an animal tamer. To perceive oneself teaching in a dream suggests progress in one’s vocation. A mathematics instructor symbolises intellect and discernment, while performing arithmetic—adding, subtracting, multiplying, or dividing—mirrors the everyday gains and losses of life. A Qur’an tutor denotes melody, dignity, or unexpected kindness. An unfamiliar teacher within the dream is taken as a sign of the Almighty. (See also Teacher)
