Islamic Interpretation
Within a dream, seeing a person who interprets dreams signifies glad tidings for one in grief and foretells difficulty for one in joy. For an individual guarding his private affairs and ambitions, this vision suggests he will discover a trusted ally to help fulfill his aims. If awaiting word from a partner, or for someone in a distant place, it indicates the awaited message will arrive. Such a figure also symbolizes one skilled in reading signs, decoding communications, examining materials, a tracker, a man of religious learning, a legal counselor, a wise guide, a sympathetic companion, an arbiter, or a healer. Conversely, he may denote a person incapable of discretion or a bearer of both joyful and distressing announcements. In the vision state, he can further manifest as a exhorter, a consultant, a balancer of accounts, a currency exchanger, a cloth cleaner, a preparer of the deceased, a hair cutter, a jester, a disseminator of reports, or one who seeks out the faults of others. To envision oneself as a dream interpreter, and if one is fit for the seat of judgment, it points to attaining a judgeship. If pursuing knowledge, he will gain it; if aspiring to medicine, he will become a doctor. Otherwise, he may become a money changer, a financier, or any of the trades previously listed. Relating a dream to an interpreter within the dream, if the interpretation aligns with sound understanding and the teachings of the Qur'an and the Prophet's tradition, then what is heard is truthful. If the explanation is not understood, it may be necessary to seek a capable interpreter in waking life to address one's concerns.
