Islamic Interpretation
(Followers, Righteous people, Successors) To witness in a vision any of the Companions of God's Messenger (upon whom be peace), his followers, or their successors entering a town or region afflicted by calamities, tyranny, or conflict signifies deliverance for its inhabitants and a transformation of their state. It may also indicate that their leaders will return to guidance. Beholding the spiritually learned of a land means an increase in one's own understanding. Seeing the sages of a region denotes growth in one's wisdom. Observing the admonishers of a town points to spiritual advancement and greater contentment. Seeing the righteous inhabitants and God's appointed custodians of a land signifies an increase in one's piety. If one sees past Companions alive in a vision, it foretells prosperity, justice, and economic improvement for the people, stemming from a leadership that fears God. To dream of reviving one of the Companions, their followers, or successors means he will restore their customs and ways. If one sees himself transformed into a known righteous Companion or follower of God's Prophet (upon whom be peace), it signifies he will undergo tribulations commensurate with the elevated status of such blessed souls, though his ultimate outcome will be commendable.
