A blacksmith in a dream symbolizes a person of forceful character, a chieftain, or a potent and adept sovereign. This figure can also represent the angel of death. Encountering or being a blacksmith in a vision portends both gladness and hardships. Being taken before a blacksmith suggests an incident that will bring one before an authority figure to seek mediation. Alternatively, it may denote seeking the company of a person of low worth. If a sick or deceased person is seen sitting with a blacksmith, it indicates they are in the fires of the hereafter, particularly if their face is blackened by smoke, or it may signify imprisonment.
