Islamic Interpretation
(Hobo, Mendicant, Poverty, Richness) In a dream, a beggar represents a seeker of knowledge. If he receives what he requests, it signifies success in his quest. His humility and persistence indicate triumph. Beggars may also reflect grief, anxiety, hardship, or deep reflection. If someone sees a beggar taking something from him, it implies dire need or may symbolize the death of the person represented in the dream. If many beggars enter one’s home or town, it warns of family dispersion, and if they remove belongings, it signals disaster. A beggar can also stand for a student, while the giver represents the teacher or shaykh. Seeing oneself begging without success denotes humiliation. (See also: Hobo, Poverty)
