Seeing oneself engaged in wrestling in a dream symbolizes conflict, rivalry, and trials in one’s waking life. If a person sees himself being thrown to the ground, it indicates a possible loss of wealth, status, or material means. Yet paradoxically, the one who appears defeated in the dream will ultimately prevail in reality, for in such dreams the apparent winner is often the true loser in wakefulness, and the apparent loser is the eventual victor. If the wrestling match occurs in the presence of a witness, this may reverse the interpretation, meaning that the winner in the dream could also be the winner in real life. The same applies if the dreamer demonstrates greater readiness, strength, or necessity, such as fighting for survival or sustenance—like the struggle between a human being and a wild beast. When two friends are seen wrestling, the one who loses in the dream will enjoy greater standing, dignity, or advantage in waking life. Wrestling in a dream may also symbolize illness or physical weakness, particularly affecting the one who loses, or it may represent the aftereffects and consequences of a sickness already endured. If a person sees himself fighting a beast and killing it, this signifies relief from hardship, the removal of distress, and the end of sorrow, anxiety, and suffering. Should the dreamer find himself reaching the point of death during the struggle, it indicates that he will overcome his enemies decisively, emerging victorious after enduring extreme hardship or danger.
