Islamic Interpretation
Seeing oneself as a groom on the night of his wedding in a dream, especially when accompanied by music, singing, or dancing, is an ominous sign. Such a vision signifies death occurring in that very place, as excessive celebration in dreams often symbolizes an end rather than a beginning. If a person sees himself consummating a marriage in a dream but is unable to see, recognize, or identify the bride, and her identity remains unknown or unnamed, this too signifies death. The absence of recognition indicates separation from the worldly life and transition to the Hereafter. However, if the dreamer clearly sees his bride, recognizes her, or she is explicitly named and identified as his wife in the dream, then the interpretation changes completely. In this case, the dream signifies acquiring wealth, prosperity, and material gain. The known bride represents the world, benefit, or lawful provision that the dreamer will attain. Thus, a wedding in a dream may symbolize either an ending or a gain, depending on whether the bride is hidden or known, and whether the scene is marked by excess and noise or clarity and recognition.
