(Splicing, Entwining, Twining) To splice or twist a rope or thread, to wind it around oneself or a spindle, or to create a bobbin signifies undertaking a journey. If the resulting rope is thin, the journey yields little. If it is thick and sturdy, the journey brings benefit. Easy twisting indicates the endeavor is free from hindrance. If one plucks his beard hair and twists it like a rope, it means accepting a bribe to give false testimony in court. Twisting a rope or thread may also signify signing an agreement, forming a business partnership, or concluding a marriage contract. (Refer also to: Beard, Twist)
