Islamic Interpretation
If one sees oneself shifting in slumber, lying face down or resting upon the stomach, it signifies abandoning one's faith and forfeiting gains in both worldly life and the hereafter. Witnessing the opposite—turning from lying on the stomach to resting upon the back—indicates repentance for transgressions. It also shows a readiness to confront others and rectify one's misdeeds.
