Islamic Interpretation
A tunnel in a dream signifies deception and trickery. Digging a tunnel or hole for someone indicates plotting to deceive him. Entering the tunnel one has dug means falling into one’s own scheme. Entering a tunnel or burrow without seeing light at its end, or a traveler digging and entering a hole and no longer seeing the sky or stars, signifies being robbed of luggage, hijacked, or stopped by highway bandits. Performing ablution or bathing inside a tunnel or hole indicates capturing the thieves and recovering one’s property. Entering a tunnel and bathing there also means settling debts, repenting from sins, or release from imprisonment. Digging a tunnel and drawing water from it, or finding stagnant water within, signifies earning one’s livelihood through deception and fraud. (Also see Piercing a hole)
