Islamic Interpretation
Listening to the trumpet blown on the Day of Resurrection in a dream signifies hearing the truth. Blowing the trumpet of the angel Israfil means deliverance for the righteous. Its sound spreads terror and news that makes hearts quake. Heard alone, the tidings are private; heard by all, they become public. If the dreamer expects everyone to hear it, plagues and trials approach, for the first blast marks the world’s end and universal death, while the second blast signals revival and the Great Gathering for Judgment. A sick person hearing the first blast will soon recover; if a town suffers, its grief will lift; drought departs and prices level. The second blast brings prosperity, disclosure of hidden matters, revelation of long-concealed secrets, recovery, freedom from jail, the return of loved ones, or meeting travellers just home.
