Dreaming of teeth symbolizes an individual’s essence, years, lineage, sons, daughters, kin, wealth, attendants, household creatures, workers, arms, existence, demise, harmony, parting, deposits, or reserves. Within the vision, the upper teeth of a man or woman signify the male kin from the father’s lineage, while the lower jaw’s teeth denote female relatives from the mother’s side. Relatives are closer the nearer the teeth are to the front. Separated into two parts, the upper right front tooth stands for the father; the upper left front tooth signifies a paternal uncle, or may represent sisters, sons, or an intimate companion. The upper pointed teeth, or canines, denote a cousin or two friends bound like cousins. The premolars symbolize maternal uncles and their offspring, and the molars represent grandparents and grandchildren. The lower right front tooth is the mother; the lower left front tooth is an aunt from the father’s side, or they may indicate two sisters, two daughters, or two devoted friends sharing deep affection and care. The lower canines signify a female cousin from either parental line. The lower pointed tooth, or eye-tooth, denotes the master of the household or the property owner. The upper and lower molars also signify the most distant family members, including a grandmother and her granddaughters. A tooth shifting in its socket foretells an ailment. Attempting to extract one’s own teeth signifies spending wealth reluctantly, paying a penalty, breaking from parents and severing blood bonds, or proving disloyal to relatives. Teeth turning yellow or black portends a disgraceful deed that will taint the family’s name. Yellow teeth may also mean expending resources to recover one’s standing, or being regarded as learned. A foul oral odor implies negative consequences arising from praises the family receives. Decaying teeth indicate weakness within the family unit. Being bitten by people in a dream suggests one might have feigned something publicly but managed to hold back. Extracting and burying one’s teeth means the entire clan or family will perish before the dreamer. Pulling teeth also reveals one’s secrets. Losing a tooth can imply retribution for a misdeed. Upper and lower jaw teeth intermixing means women dominate the men in the family. Flossing teeth indicates the family scattering or loss of possessions and money. If meat remains lodged between teeth after flossing, it means the dreamer backbites his relatives. If a confined relative is seen and one’s teeth are extracted, it means that relative’s release from detention. Extracting one’s own teeth could also mean a traveler’s homecoming. Tartar on teeth reveals family frailties. Black or fractured teeth denote grief caused by kin. Wisdom teeth symbolize one’s adherents; front and canine teeth represent wealth, ornamentation, pride, or offspring. Their color changing to yellow or black reflects life changes. Teeth turning to iron denotes fortitude. Losing teeth may also mean losing employment. Extracting teeth so none can see them implies barrenness, business failure, loss of savings, poor family relations, an evil act toward kin, or attempting to fund an enterprise with borrowed money leading to ruin. Pulling out a troublesome tooth from waking life in a dream means trying to pacify a difficult person whose harmfulness will end.
