Islamic Interpretation
(Authority, Fourth Heaven, Planet) In a dream, the sun represents supreme authority, such as a king, ruler, vice-regent, father, prince, commander, or a person of influence. It may also symbolize gold, lawful wealth, knowledge, guidance, or a beautiful and noble woman. Seeing oneself transformed into the sun indicates gaining dominion, power, or fame proportionate to its radiance. Holding or owning the sun signifies strength, wealth, respect, and influence gained through authority or government. Wearing the sun as an ornament denotes attaining a high political or leadership position. Sitting near or within the sun means power, support, honour, or renowned knowledge. A clear and radiant sun reflects justice, strength, and prosperity of the ruler or household. For women, it signifies marital happiness, marriage to a wealthy or influential man, or fulfillment through one’s husband. The rising of the sun symbolizes honour, leadership, livelihood, awakening, guidance, a son, or release from captivity. Its unusual rising direction denotes beneficial knowledge or public upheaval. Changes in the sun’s colour or nature indicate corruption (red), illness (yellow), loss (black), or turmoil in the land. A sun without rays signifies loss of authority, position, or income. The setting, falling, splitting, swallowing, or rising of the sun from unnatural places often points to death, calamity, scandal, exposure of secrets, loss of dominion, or the end of a destined matter. The sun may also represent close relatives or leaders—such as parents, spouse, or children—and whatever befalls it in the dream reflects upon them. In general, the sun in a dream signifies authority, livelihood, truth, guidance, honour, recovery from illness, or exposure of what was hidden.
