In a dream, a starling symbolizes a person of ascetic discipline, one who submits to divine decree, a sincere believer, an individual endowed with patience, a wayfarer, or a fellow traveler. To see oneself holding a starling indicates one will encounter a person of this description. Consuming its meat or plucking its feathers signifies that one will derive benefit from such a meeting. A starling in a vision can also denote blending commendable actions with blameworthy ones, or a person of middling condition—neither wealthy nor destitute, neither wholly upright nor entirely base.
