In a dream, a star represents the most noble, virtuous, and distinguished people, including rulers, political leaders, eminent scholars, and the wealthy elite of society. Stars symbolize guidance, honor, authority, and knowledge, and their condition in a dream reflects the state of such people or of the dreamer’s own rank and destiny. Seeing stars shining brightly and gathered inside one’s house signifies that great people, leaders, or influential figures will assemble in that place. If their light appears dimmed, it means such a meeting will occur secretly, under constraint, or due to fear, calamity, or political pressure. Holding a star in one’s hand signifies the birth of a noble son who will grow to become a leader of high standing. Stealing a star indicates stealing something precious or valuable. Seeing a star fall from the sky signifies a calamity befalling the land, particularly affecting a great person, scholar, or ruler, and may also indicate the death of the governor of that place. In general, stars represent rulers, scholars, noble people, and the richest among society. Seeing many stars inside one’s house may also signify having a large household or numerous children. Seeing the seven major or fixed stars signifies trades, professions, knowledge, leadership, and governance, with each star carrying a different destiny or fortune. A brilliant star signifies happiness, success, and leadership. If a wealthy person sees the sky devoid of stars, it means loss of wealth. If a poor person sees the sky without stars, it signifies death. Holding small stars in one’s hand signifies fame, authority, and leadership over people. Seeing a star above one’s head signifies renown, superiority over peers, or holding a high-ranking office. Seeing bright stars gathered in one place signifies benefit from travel or a successful return from a business journey. Riding a star signifies authority, strength, wealth, and command. If stars appear fixed beneath one’s roof, it signifies calamity, destruction of the house, or the death of the head of the household. Eating stars signifies swindling people of their wealth, while swallowing a star signifies mixing with noble people and sharing personal matters with them, or—negatively—insulting or slandering the Companions of the Prophet, peace be upon him. Sucking on a star signifies learning at the hands of great scholars or a wise spiritual master. If a fortune-teller or astrologer eats stars, it signifies being appointed to an important position that brings prosperity. For most people, however, eating stars signifies death. Seeing stars scattered signifies the death of leaders or scholars, or the outbreak of war. Seeing stars falling to the earth and disappearing, or meteors entering the atmosphere, signifies widespread destruction and death. The fall of small stars represents the death of unknown or weak people, while the fall of large stars represents the death of renowned figures. Seeing stars fall may also signify baldness or loss of hair, as stars symbolize hair and the sky symbolizes the head. Seeing stars during daylight signifies scandals, public exposure, major upheavals, or calamities. Seeing the morning star signifies marriage. Becoming a star signifies attaining wealth, fame, and distinction.
