Islamic Interpretation
If a person unqualified to lead or teach religion dreams of hosting a spiritual gathering and exhorting people to righteousness while forbidding evil, it signifies distress and illness, along with intense supplication for relief by God’s permission. If, however, he speaks words of wisdom in that gathering, it reflects earnest prayer for his hardship and illness to be removed, and by God’s will he will recover, overcome adversity, repay debts, and prevail over oppressors. Seeing a gathering where God’s Name is exalted, the Qur’an is recited, and wisdom is shared means that the place will become a mosque or spiritual center where scholars, leaders, and governors assemble. If light-hearted love songs are heard there, it indicates that falsehood will dominate the place. Sitting at the center among scholars signifies attaining greater knowledge and honor. A gathering involving litigation or marriage represents an unknown trial that will pass safely. Preaching publicly implies obedience to one’s command. Sitting at the center also symbolizes one’s rank, or may represent one’s spouse, child, property, or secretary, and whatever occurs to the gathering reflects upon them.
