In a dream, a sparrow or a hawk represents an ignorant, unjust, or short-sighted ruler whose authority and dominion are limited, falling far below that of greater rulers symbolized by the eagle. Such figures exercise power, yet lack wisdom, justice, or broad control. Holding a sparrow or a hawk in a dream signifies capturing a thief or gaining control over a cunning but weak wrongdoer. If one sees himself producing a sparrow or a hawk from his urethral passage, it indicates the birth of a son who will grow up courageous, bold, and daring, though inclined toward frivolity or recklessness in character. Holding a sparrow in a dream may also signify choosing the company of elders, associating with a respected community, and offering one’s services in humility and goodwill, indicating social engagement, voluntary service, and participation in communal affairs.
