Islamic Interpretation
One's skin in a vision symbolizes the covering that encloses the person, conceals his possessions, and what he intends for his descendants. Skin also denotes aspects of the father, power, riches, clothing, cultivated land, devotional state, belief, idolatry, or it could mean one's adversary, companion, spouse, home, beloved, child, or what safeguards the person from injury. Healthy skin signifies a sound life, while diseased skin indicates debility. Discolored skin foretells illness. If a departed soul is seen adorned with wholesome and fair skin, it reflects their favorable state in the hereafter. If an ailing person dreams of being flayed like a goat, it means his death. Being skinned may also represent a theft in one's dwelling, or it may signify a cruel or oppressive ruler. If the ruler is healthy, it means he will be impoverished and his vices revealed. Fat lying beneath the skin represents the firmness of one's conviction and religious observance. If one sees himself clad in a serpent's skin, he will reveal his hostility toward others. Generally, wearing an animal's hide means receiving an inheritance. If one sees himself possessing a fat tail resembling a sheep's, his livelihood will depend on the earnings of his children. If his body appears to enlarge, he will thrive in like measure. Corpulence in a vision denotes affluence and understanding, while leanness denotes want and ignorance. (Refer also to Body, Shell)
