Islamic Interpretation
Wrapping the body of one who has passed in a vision brings joy to a sorrowful person and prompts a wrongdoer to seek forgiveness. If someone dreams of arranging on behalf of a friend or kin to buy a shroud for them, it means he will settle debts and plead for someone who has deviated from the righteous way, whom he consistently counsels and urges to rectify his conduct and beliefs. It also signifies aiding them against need or trials, for death represents the final act of religious observance in this life. A shroud in a dream further implies confinement, or the commission of a grave transgression. Shrouding the deceased after washing the body signifies cleansing it from impurities.
